These high quality glasses accurately replicate historical examples from the mid to late 18th century. Their one-piece temples are shorter than those on the later styles we carry and ACTUALLY END AT THE TEMPLE RATHER THAN EXTEND TO THE EAR. You might find it necessary to wrap a little yarn and hog's snot around the temple loops to get them to hold in place. (Hey I didn't design it, I just copy what they had) Clear sample lenses are included in the round 1-3/16 inch openings, ready to have your prescription installed by your local optometrist. The nose bridge on this style is slightly wider than on our Late 18th century hinged glasses. Nose not included.
