These high quality glasses accurately replicate historical examples from the mid to late 18th century. We have altered the original design and slightly lengthened the temple pieces so that they reach just over the ears instead of ending before the ears as this type of frames usually did, so that they can be worn for longer periods of time without falling off. Clear sample lenses are included in the round 1-3/16 inch openings, ready to have your prescription installed by your local optometrist. The nose bridge on this style is slightly wider than on our Late 18th century hinged glasses. Unfortunately these frames will not fit in our tin eyeglasses case. Nose not included.
