Trade Kettles were in use from the mid
1600’s all the way to the American Civil
War. They were commonly traded with Indi-
ans, thus their name. Our Trade Kettles are
exact replicas of originals held in a private
collection. Riveted dog-eared tabs secure the
iron bail. The Large Trade Kettle is about 9-1/2” in
diameter and holds about a gallon. Hand-
tinned interior, unlike the imported versions
that are nickel plated. These are correctly
shaped as well. Handcrafted by a redsmith
here in the U.S. They cost more, but we make
no apologies for that; the craftsmanship and
accuracy are worth it.
