The Portugese began importing Chinese porcelain ware into Europe in the 15th century. It became so popular that several countries launched Far Eastern trading companies. Civil war brought an end to the Ming Dynasty in the mid 1600’s, temporarily shifting Europe’s porcelain trade to Japan. These modern porcelain dishes are reminiscent of earlier designs. Designs may vary. Imported.
